2022-2023 Meeting Dates: 11/28/22, 1/23/23, 3/20/23, 5/15/23
The Site Council provides leadership, guidance, and support to further school improvement by addressing both district and school priorities in accordance with Oregon Administration Regulations for the 21st Century School and Portland Public Schools’ Policies for Site Councils.
As Oregon law (ORS 329.704) states, the main duties of Site Council include

The development of plans to improve the professional growth of the schools staff;

The improvement of the schools instructional program;

The development and coordination of plans for the implementation of programs under this chapter at the school; and
-
The administration of grants-in-aid for the professional development of teachers and classified district employees.
The Site Council should be composed of teachers, parent/guardians, classified employees, and principal or the principal’s designee (staff member) and may also include community members.
